Lead acid golf cart batteries need distilled water to stay healthy. Too little water and the plates dry out and sulfate — killing the battery early. Too much water and acid overflows during charging, corroding your battery tray, cables, and frame. Most people either forget to water or overfill because checking six batteries one cap at a time is a pain. A single-point watering system takes that guesswork completely off the table.
Extends battery life
Properly watered batteries last significantly longer. Dry plates are the number one cause of premature battery failure in golf carts.
Prevents acid overflow damage
The system automatically stops filling each cell at the correct level — no overfilling, no acid spills, no corroded trays or cables.
Takes under 60 seconds
Connect a garden hose to the single fill point, squeeze the handle, and all cells fill to the exact right level simultaneously. Done.
Protects your investment
Whether you just bought new batteries or want to get more life out of your current set, a watering system is the single best maintenance upgrade you can make.
How It Works
Valves replace your battery caps
Each cell gets a Battery Watering Technologies flow-rite valve installed in place of the standard cap. The valves are connected together with tubing that runs to a single fill point.
Connect a garden hose
When it's time to water — typically after every 3–5 charges — just connect a standard garden hose to the single fill point on your battery pack.
Fill all cells at once
Each valve automatically shuts off when its cell reaches the correct water level. You can't overfill. When water stops flowing, every cell is perfectly filled.
Disconnect and go
Remove the hose, close the fill point, and you're done. The whole process takes less than a minute. No caps to remove, no levels to check, no mess.

Do I need a watering system if I just got new batteries?
Yes — and it's the best time to install one. New batteries are a significant investment. A watering system protects that investment from day one and makes proper maintenance effortless.
How often do I need to water my batteries?
Generally after every 3–5 charges, or about once a week with regular use. Always water after a full charge, never before. With a single-point system it takes under a minute so frequency is no longer an issue.
Can I install this myself?
The kits are available directly from BWT, but having it professionally installed ensures the tubing is routed correctly, all connections are secure, and the fill point is positioned for easy access. We include installation in our price.
Does this work with my cart?
If you have a 36V or 48V lead acid golf cart with 6V, 8V, or 12V batteries, yes. Call us and we'll confirm compatibility before you commit to anything.
Do I still need to use distilled water?
Yes. The system controls the fill level, not the water quality. Always use distilled water — tap water contains minerals that build up on the plates and shorten battery life.
